I know its way late but better late then never. We had a wonderful Easter this year. Saturday we had dinner and an Easter egg hunt at Meres and Papas. The weather was kind of nasty so the kids had there hunt in my parents basement. The pic's didn't really turn out. But we had a great time with family. Sunday we had a nice relaxing day. We had delish food and great company. Grandma Marley had dinner with us and we listened to Conference. I think this year was my favorite Easter so far. We are so grateful for all our blessings.

The Salty City

The Mayan Adventure.

Laney is such a poser.
We took the kids to the Mayan for dinner. The kids loved watching the cliff divers. The food sucked and it gave us diarrhea. But it was fun for the kids.

Lane and Laney on the train at Hogle zoo.

Ryan on the train. I love his face! Priceless! He is so excited you can really see it in his eyes.

Ryan and Mama on the train.

Look at Ryan's face so funny! I love that little boy.
We took the boys to the Discovery Center at the Gateway. It has a bunch of fun stuff for kids to play with.

Dave and Anna.... Engaged.;) What a cute couple.
Pooped.... Ready to go home.
We took the kids to Salt Lake for spring break. We went to Hogle Zoo first and the weather was beautiful. We all had so much fun looking at the animals and riding the train. We also took the kids to the Mayan for dinner. For any of you who don't know what the Mayan is it's a Mexican restaurant the has cliff divers that preform while you eat. We all had so much fun. The diarrhea afterwards wasn't so fun. But the pain was worth it.. Ya know for the kids;) The next day we took the kids to the Discovery Center at the Gateway. They had a lot of things for kids to play with. The kids had fun but there was about a million kids running all over. They had about 3 schools there on field trips. It was a little crazy. On the last day we went to the Living Planet Aquarium and it was pretty awesome. They had all kinds of fish to look at. There was this big tank with sting rays that you could go and touch. Laney and I were freaked so we passed on petting them. They also had a new penguin exhibit. The penguins were really active. I would highly recommend going with your kids to see it. Oh and did I mention that we meet Anna's Fiancee. Dave is an awesome guy. I totally approve. We had dinner with them and then went back to Anna's and had ice cream. Then we watched my kids fight with each other. I'm glad Anna knows how good they usually are. Because I wanted to kill them!!!! We spent a lot of time in the hotel swimming pool. Laney was swimming like a little fish. But by the end of the week I was ready to come home. We had a great trip with the boys. I look forward to our spring break trip every year. Swimming, eating out, seeing old friends, making new ones, watching the joy in my boys eyes and getting diarrhea......Priceless.Some Pic's of the aquarium.

The Marley Family trip was sponsored by Wells Fargo.

Adversity

Last week Lane gave a Family home evening lesson on Adversity. He talked about how coal and diamonds are made of the same elements. The only difference between them is the experience that they have been through. When coal is subjected to extremely high pressures and heat the carbon turns into a diamond. Then he talked about how we are like the coal. We change and become different when we have trials in our lives. Sometimes we become angry and bitter from our trials. And other times we are strengthened from our experiences. "My people must be tried in all things, that they may be prepared to receive the glory that I have for them." (D&C 136:31).
It is through are trials that we become like dimonds.

Colbie Caillat Concert!

Justin Young: Colbie's opening act.

This time last year my friends and I went to the Celine Dion concert. This year we went to Colbie Caillat. We are trying to do one concert a year together. Tiffany's mother in law asked us to take Tiffany's 17 year old sister in law and her friend to the concert. So they tagged along. Colbie's opening act was this guy named Justin Young. He has a really beautiful voice. He kind of reminded me of Jack Johnson. Not the way he sang but more like the style of music. Colbie did a great job and sounded great live. It wasn't a huge stage production like other concerts but it was nice to have a concert here in Pocatello. It was fun going out with Tiff. Love ya girl it was fun!

My Valentine.

My Valentines!
My poesy's

My new comforter.
Boys making rice-crispy treats.
We don't usually do much for Valentines day because it's Valentines day everyday at our house. On Saturday we played board games with the boys and made rice-crispy treats. We had a great time. This year my parents offered to have the grand kids spend the night on Sunday. The kids didn't have school on Monday so we took them up on there offer. The boys were so excited to have a sleepover with there cousins. After we dropped off the kids Lane and I went on a walk. We went to the university neighborhood I love to look at the big old houses and dream about owning one someday. It was nice to hold my husbands hand and and talk. After our walk we went home and I made Cajun chicken pasta. Yum so good! Oh ya and homemade apple pie. Lane spoiled me with flowers and a new comforter for our bed. I've had my eye on it for a while. Thanks Lane I love you!
