Move over Martha Stewart!!!!!

Workin with Tools!

Check out this beauty!

This table was Lane's Great Grandma Marley's. It used to be a vanity with a mirror in the 40's. Later it was passed down to Lane's Parents. My Mother in law used it as a t.v. stand in her bedroom. Last week she passed it down to us. I was so excited to get started on it. I stripped all the old paint and stain off of it. I defiantly inhaled too many fumes. Then I sanded that puppy smooth. Last but not least I painted it black and added new modern handles to it. I love the way it turned out. I'm using it as a buffet in my dinning room. It was really fun breathing new life into it. I'm so touched that Lane's parents gave it to us. Lane is always talking about his Great Grandma and how much he loved her. I'm thrilled that we can enjoy it and pass it down to our kid's someday.

9 years ago!!!!!

9 years ago I married my best friend. Every year I fall more and more in love with him. I married my Prince Charming! Lane is such a wonderful husband and father. Lane thank you for making my life so beautiful. Happy Anniversary! I love you!......... I'll never forget the day we got married. It was a gorgeous fall morning . The flowers were so beautiful on temple square. We got married at 9:40 in the morning. I was so excited I thought I would jump right out of my skin. I remember meeting Lane after I got ready. I forgot his ring and had to rush back into the dressing room to retrieve it. Lane and I had to wait about 20 mins for all of our guests to arrive. We were sitting on this huge couch. I remember our feet didn't touch the ground. Sitting across from us was another couple waiting to get married. The groom looked like he was going to faint. Lane and I sat back and laughed and him. I'll never forget walking into the ceiling room and seeing all our families. It was breath taking. The man that married us married my parents. It was so special. I wish I could remember everything he said to us. What a perfect day. Now 9 years later I could not have imagined the joy that I would feel almost a decade later. Two sweet boys and a wonderful husband. This is was makes life wonderful!

Back to School "10"

Well it's that time of year again. The kids go back to school. The boys were ready for school this year. We had a pretty long summer. Laney started the second grade and Ryan is in his last year of pre-school. I'm always so excited for the boys to start school but I have to be honest I love having them at home. I miss them so much. Every year the night before school I make a special back to school dinner. This year was homemade chicken strips. Yum! Then after dinner we have a fashion show. We crank up the music and the boys show off there new clothes. It's so funny to watch them dance around. The boys are looking forward to a great year!

2010 Pocatello Marathon!

The 2010 Pocatello Marathon has come and gone for another year. This year the weather was a little cooler. At this point I was so glad to see the finish line! 26.2 miles was about all that I could take. I had a great time and am looking forward to taking a couple days off before hitting the road again!
My SUPER HOT WIFEY SERENA was waiting for me at the finish line. I can't believe she wanted to hug me. I stunk so bad I could smell myself! That is true love! Love ya Babe!

Laney and Ryan were there as well. They had a great time listening to the local band and running around. The boys wanted to know if I was feeling OK. I asked why? Laney said, " Dad not to be rude or anything, but you look like crap!" Kids are freaking awesome! They just tell it like it is!

Me and my buddy Trent. This was his first marathon! He did awesome! He called me later that afternoon to tell me that he was so sore he couldn't move. I got the call just after I finished puking in the Applebees bathroom. All I have to say is WOW I must have drank a lot of blue Power Ade!

My Fan Club! I love my sweet wife and boys! You guys rock! I can't wait to do this again! But for now I'm gonna sit back and chill for a day or two.

Idaho Falls Chukars Game

On Monday night Laney and I went to the Idaho Falls Chukars game. It was AWESOME! We left Mom and Ryan at home and had a night out! First we went to Jack In the Box and got a bite to eat. Then we headed off to the ball park. Laney brought a brand new baseball with him so he could get it signed by the players. He was so excited to see the ball players up close and talk with them.
During the seventh inning stretch Laney was chosen to race the mascot around the bases. He was so excited. The crowd was cheering him on and he was running hard and as fast as he could. Laney won the race. For a prize they gave him a fishing rod! Laney was so excited because now he could give the fishing pole to his little brother. I was so touched that he wasn't thinking of himself, but of his brother who didn't have a fishing pole.
Laney told me that he has always wanted a giant foam finger, so we went to the gift shop and found him one. During the game Laney was standing up cheering for the home team and booing the away team. I was so proud!! There is nothing better than watching a ball game with your big boy! I can't wait for football season!
In the end the Chukars lost 3-5. However, we had a great time! We did learn a valuable lesson....bring a blanket because 60 degrees is freaking cold! Can't wait till football season to get started!

Forgiveness

Ryan got this from church last week. They had a lesson of forgiveness. I having hanging on my fridge. Its a good reminder that weather we are forgiving something someone did against us or we are forgiving ourselves for our own flaws or asking forgiveness from others or our Father in Heaven we must always remember to forgive no matter how hard it is! (D&C 64:10) "I the Lord, will forgive whom I will forgive, but of you it is required to forgive all men."
I am totally imperfect and have many flaws. I hope I can be forgiven of all my wrongs.
